A.D. 33 by Ted Dekker

Dekker-AD33     Set two years after the events of A.D. 30, this follow-up novel continues Maviah’s journey. She is now called the Queen of the Outcasts as she shares the way of Yeshua with the her people in the desert. But that way is soon forgotten when the enemy threatens to crush all that she loves. She sets out to find Yeshua to help save her people, only to find that he is facing death himself.

Another great novel from Dekker! The characters, just as in the first novel, are real and relatable. The story of Maviah is perfectly woven into historical events.

I was moved to tears more times than I care to count. The story is both tragic and uplifting at the same time. There were moments when I found myself with my mouth open in shock, or my hand over my mouth. There was a point where I wanted to throw the book across the room in anger. (No, I’m not joking.) Dekker knows how to stir you, and most certainly does it with this book.
